My Opinoin on The Old Man and the Sea


                The Old Men and the Sea is written by Earnest Hemingway. This book published in 1952. It is a very successful  moral lesson.  The Old Men and the Sea tells the story of about an old Cuban fisherman Santiago. In this story the picture of human courageous and very optimistic character portrayed by the Writer. The Old Men and the Sea uses the omniscient point of view. Threw this story  Writer  draws the character of an old man  struggle with a huge fish Merlin.  Generally it ‘ s a provide  idea of Humanity, courage and also love for nature.  Hemingway has a described the every character with a very precisely. Santiago, the protagonist of the story of noble values. He is fishing for food and not for money.  We can see that the onether thing  that  a small boy of Cuba Island, Mandolin, His respect for Santiago and he also considers him as his role model. Where Santiago’s roll model is Joe DiMaggio, who refers in this novella a symbol of Victory and Jesus Christ on the basis of his relationship with other character of the novella and also in the Bible.  Santiago’s love for nature is described threw this line “Fish,” he said. “ I love you and respect you very much. But I will kill you dead before this day ends.”  This line presents  Santiago’s deep love and respect for fish.
         This  story depicts the unique of relationship of facing failure each and every step of life. One of the most striking aspect of The Old Men and the Sea is its combination of compression and depth.  Style, Setting, Structure and Symbolism are used by Earnest Hemingway, threw these elements makes reading more interesting.

What makes me think is, even reading the web-source and the class notes you cannot able to construct your ideas, you should write anything you like about that novella into Gujarati and then try it in English. If The Old Man and The Sea is so and so…. Then even it is your critique and observation of the text. Try it in your blog and answers, too.
